Happy Mother's Day

To my mom...

You're always thinking of others, especially your kids and grandkids. You're always one step ahead. How do you do that? Because I really want to be like that.

You don't forget anything. Ever. Do you remember that phone call you got yesterday for your birthday? You know, the one where the boys sang "Happy Birthday" to you? Of course you don't. Because I forgot to have them call. I've got a long way to go on this one.

You always listen to Dad tell you everything about his day at work. And you just listen.

You make the best cakes. Jack did say, "Nana is the best caker."

The laundry is always done. ALWAYS.

The list could go on and on. And on and on. I just hope I've gotten a few of the long list of qualities you have. :)

I love you. Happy Mother's Day.

To Big Mama...
Thank you for teaching me, or maybe just led by example, how to pray for my kids.

To Grandmama...
Thank you for showing us all such a sacrificial love and what selflessness is all about.

I'm so blessed.

Daily prayer, but not daily blog

So I was going to post what I pray for my kids everyday, but apparently I don't get on the computer every day. I'll just post the whole list instead, right after I finish this post about Mother's Day. :)

One Family Campaign

Daily Prayer

A few weeks ago, our pastor encouraged us to make a list of 31 things we'd like to pray for our children and pray for one each day. I wanted to share my list with you each day hoping that you'd pray for your children too. I pray the same thing for all three of them. Really because I can't keep 3 different lists straight, but also because each thing I pray for applies to all of them differently. Since it's already May 3rd, I'll catch up.

May 1 - Being a witness

May 2 - Salvation/confidence of salvation

May 3 - To be respectful

Hopefully I'll remember to post something everyday. :)
