Stinky Pete

My son Jackson has a great imagination. He's never just Jackson, he's always Peter Pan or Buzz Lightyear or Sheriff Woody or Mufasa. I'm always Captain Hook or Stinky Pete or a tiger (For those of you who don't have 3 year old boys, tigers are not as good as lions). It's raining today so he can't play outside. He turned 3 last Monday and has lots of new "outside" stuff to play with. He got a sandbox, a big boy bike, a baseball and glove, and golf clubs - but thanks to the rain he'll be giving Angie fits inside all day today.
I'm home for lunch and have to go back to work soon. I probably won't see him again until Thursday evening since I have late Wednesdays and REALLY EARLY THURSDAYS. So, back to Stinky Pete duty.

Since I'm not 3, and am only a parent of two fuzzy dogs, I don't know who Stinky Pete is. Are you sure Jack didn't mean to call you "Stinky Feet"? (just kidding)

Thanks for including me. I think of you often and we still miss you down here in the South! Give Angie and Jackson a hug for me.

I agree with Mellie, I think he means Stinky Feet. Big Mama and I taught Will a new word when we saw him last -- abdomen--he kept sticking it out really far, not unlike his cousin Jon.

Stinky Pete is on Toy Story 2... You 2 should get out more :)

At least he doesn't make you play Tiger Lilly.

I get to be the "princess" (complete with a tiara) only because Jack does not presently understand the concept of "queen."

And to think that our family's unique skills pass from one generation to the next. . . I look forward to the talent show in October!

Glad to see you've joined the blogging world, Jon. We can't play outside right now either, since we're "breaking up." The snow and ice that's been accumulating since October is melting, creating the Euphrates in front of my house. Glad to know that you're doing well. Tell Ken Reich hello for me, please. :) Take care!

Jack looks like a ton of fun, and I'm glad to hear that you are all doing well! Don't know when we'll get to visit again, but if you're ever over our way or we both head to the Deep South at the same time, let's chat!

Love,

Hope

Stinky Pete, hmmm...try being Ursula from "The Little Mermaid". My neice determined that was the only character for me during her Ariel phase. I hope it is because of my loud booming voice and not otherwise!

In my extended family we have a fat yellow cat named Stinky Pete. We made up a rap song for him. Since you appreciate music I'll share it with you.
"My name is Stinky Pete, I have stinky feet. Come and give me something good to eat. I like Fancy feast and turkey too. Rub my tummy and I'll purr for you. Purr...Purr...Purr....Purr....Purr...

Hey Jon! Nice blog. Can't wait to hear more Tyner ramblings. Sounds like your Mufasa and my Simba are on the same page. GraceAnn goes around roaring like a lion all day long...I don't have the heart to tell her that Simba's a boy so she should be Nala instead. Lion King is on day and night in this house...if I have to hear Hakuna Matata one more time I think my head might explode. Hopefully we can get Mufasa and Simba together on Saturday!

You guys are tooooo cute!

Your blog sure brings back some fun memories... of when our Alex (16 yrs.) was Jackson's age.

We gave him a kitten for his 4th birthday. Our creative, little boy picked so many different names for his first pet, that we had to write a song to be able to remember them all in order!

I can still remember the song, as we love to sing it to him (to torture him)... in front of his teenage friends. Ha!

"She's Thunder, Jasmine, Nala, Michelle, Noodle, Belle...

She's Memphis Belle, Nala, Michelle and Baby Murr... Head!"
